Our Roots Run Deep

At Mapes Farm Fresh, our roots run deep. As a third generation family dairy farm in the heart of central Pennsylvania, we’re on a mission to connect people to the food they eat by providing wholesome, local dairy products that are delicious and minimally processed.

35 Years of Brown Swiss

Over the past 35 years we’ve developed our herd of Brown Swiss cows, known for giving milk that is higher in butter fat and protein. Our cows are rotationally grazed on fresh green grass, just like nature intended. That’s what makes our milk and cheese so rich, creamy, and delicious. We pour love and devotion into every bottle of our creamline milk.

A Message From

Beatrice the Cow

Hello, Beatrice the Cow here! I’m udderly exhausted from hoofing it all over the com-moo-nity, spreading the word about Mapes rich and creamy Farm Fresh Milk. What makes it so moo-velously creamy and delicious, you ask? Mapes Farm Fresh is creamline milk, which means it hasn’t been homogenized. The delicious natural layer of cream is right on top, instead of being overly processed like grocery store milk. It’s still pasteurized to re-moove any harmful bacteria, but it’s minimally processed to preserve all the healthy vitamins and nutrients.

I hate to brag, but there’s another reason that Mapes Farm Fresh Milk is absolutely legen-dairy. Mapes milk comes from Brown Swiss cows, just like me. The ladies and I produce milk that has higher butter fat and protein content, for the richest taste and best nutrition. Why, you could say that we’re outstanding in our field! So sit back, relax, and take a moo-ment to enjoy a glass of Mapes fresh creamline milk!

Farm Tours

Beatrice here again. A lot of what kids learn in school goes in one ear and out the udder. A field trip to the farm is a hands-on way to learn about agriculture and nutrition that they’ll remember.

If you’d like an oppor-moo-nity to meet me and see where all the magic happens, here’s your big chance! On a farm tour, your group will learn all about our farm, our big, happy Brown Swiss cow family, and how we bottle our creamline milk.

If your school, homeschool, or other group would like to learn about the importance of agriculture and small family farms, contact Jennifer Mapes today!

Another beautiful day for farm tours!!! 😁 a little warm but thankful for sunshine! ☀️

We really enjoyed having Milton 5th graders here! What a great group! They very intently listened, followed directions and were full of awesome questions!

It takes a team to host these big groups but we love being a part of The Farm to Table Program that Evangelical Community Hospital puts together!! 🥛🐮🥛

I'd say it was another great day in the books! 🥰

On top of having the kids visiting the farm, my days have been packed with a never ending to do list.....with that being said....

‼️We will be closing today (5/22) at 3pm‼️

I'm so sorry but we just don't have enough hours in the days to get everything accomplished.

We will be open the rest of the week like usual with FRESH CHICKEN available tomorrow!! Just in time for Memorial day!! 🇺🇸

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience but thank you for understanding.
